'Erasmus Mundus MAHEVA Scholarships in MAn Health Environment biodiVersity in
Asia'

Overview The MAHEVA (MAn Health Environment biodiVersity in Asia) project aims
to contribute to the strengthening cooperation between European Union Higher
Education Institutions and Asia country Institutions, facilitating the mobility
of students, researchers and academic staff through a scholarships scheme,
curriculum development of the individuals, the transfer of know-how in
international mobility and the exchange of best practices. The MAHEVA project
will contribute to the specific objectives of EMA2-STRAND 1 - To contribute to
the mutual enrichment of societies by developing the qualifications of men and
women so that they possess appropriate skills, particularly with respect to
career opportunities, national and regional development objectives, opening up
to the global society and subsequent international skills; - To promote mobility
altogether for students, researchers and academics from third countries,
especially from vulnerable groups, selected on the basis of academic excellence,
to obtain qualifications and/or experience in the European Union; - To favour
capacity strengthening and contribute to the development of human resources and
the international co-operation capacity of higher education institutions in
third countries through increased mobility streams between the EU and third
countries in accordance with the principles of equal opportunities and
