description The challenge Worldwide, there is a strong commitment to develop and
introduce new forms intelligent telematics systems that aim to make driving
safer, greener, and more comfortable. Using various terms, like Inter-Vehicle
Communication (IVC), C2C, C2I, or V2X, the idea of enabling vehicles to
communicate with each other and roadside infrastructure has started joint
research and development initiatives of governments, industry, and researchers.
While standardization and product development of IVC systems have already
started, security and privacy protection are still considered major challenges.
